Ishak Pasha Palace

Ishak Pasha Palace has been a Unesco Heritage Site since 2000. It is situated in the Dogubeyazit district in Agri province and the construction was started in 1685. It takes place on a hill overlooking the plain. Architecturally, it was inspired by Seljuk, Persian, Ottoman, and somewhat European baroque styles and was designed based on Topkapi Palace. It has 366 rooms and consists of the following sections; harem (domestic places reserved for women), selamlik (places reserved for men), courtyard, mosque, tomb, banquet hall, and Turkish bath. It was built in 99 years, from 1685 to 1784.
