Izmir Ataturk Museum

Izmir Ataturk Museum is situated in Izmir's Alsancak district. The museum is housed in a house that combines Ottoman and Levantine architecture. It has been known that during and after the Turkish Independence War, Ataturk stayed here a few times. The building was expropriated and converted into a museum in 1940. The museum displays personal items belonging to Ataturk as well as scenes from the Turkish Independence War, in which Ataturk and his commanders plan campaigns.
