Iznik Lake

Lake Iznik is a tectonic freshwater lake located in Bursa Province. The small creeks, Karasu and Soloz, breed the lake and form small reeds and deltas around it. According to Greek mythology, it was held by the Phrygians who sent troops to the aid of King Priam during the Trojan War. The region used to have a reputation in the 1920s.
