Kanlidivane
Kanlidivane is an ancient city founded in the 3rd BC and started to be called as Neapolis in the 4th century BC. It takes place around a sinkhole in the ancient Cilicia region, today's Erdemli Mersin Province. The sinkhole in the region and the ancient city around it were discovered in the 19th century by the French traveler Victor Langlois, and the first archaeological digs were done by archaeologist Semavi Eyice. The sinkhole is a natural formed one and has great acoustics; therefore, during the annual Mersin International Music Festival, it is welcomed to the concerts.
