Kekova

Kekova is one of the popular and well-known first-degree protected areas along the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas. The ruins of the ancient city Dolchiste (or Dolikisthe), which was submerged by an earthquake in the 2nd century, the ancient city of Xera, the ruins of the Byzantine church on the northwest side of the island, and the ancient cities; Castle's Village (aka Simena), Aperlae, Dolchiste, and Teimioussa can be visited in the region. It is at the same time a destination where the daily boat tours and blue gulets frequently come by.
