Konyaalti Beach

With Lara beach, Konyaalti beach is the second worldwide known beach in Antalya. It is in the west of the city center and in the southwest of the world’s biggest freshwater travertine, Antalya Travertine Plateau. It is 7 km far from Antalya airport and 7.5km in length and 70m wide. It has a blue flag which means that the beach meets high standards regarding swimming areas, bathing water quality, environmental management, life safety criteria.

The beach has paid and free entrance options and sunbeds or umbrellas can be rented. The beach’s water is quite warm, the sand is quite fine, the sea is shallow and the ratio of salt is high. Around the beach, it is possible to find traditional cuisine dishes and seafood plus accommodation options.

 

It has been considered that Termessians’ port city Olbia city was at the beach in the ancient era.
