Koprulu Canyon National Park
Koprulu Canyon National Park is in Antalya, 94 km from the city hub, starts in the neighboring city Isparta and ends in the Mediterranean sea. It takes its name from 2 historical bridges on it. The canyon is 25 km in length passes from narrow valleys and magnificent greenery.
The Ancient City of Selge also is a part of the canyon, at the upper part of the canyon after crossing the Oluk Bridge about 13 km up. Oluk Bridge is a Roman building that was built in the 2nd century, the era that was the heyday of Selge. Its former name is Eurymedon and the other bridge of the canyon is Bugrum, which is nearby.
The area is good for trekking, horseback riding, safaris, and camping; however the most popular activity is rafting. The rafting track is 12 km in length and has various difficulty levels. During summer numerous rafting enthusiasts are visiting the canyon, boats, paddles, lifejackets and other types of rafting equipment are provided by the travel agencies in the canyon. Tazi Canyon which is known as Eagles Canyon, is about an 11 km walk with very rich biodiversity and landscape that shouldn’t be missed. The region is a preferred camping site, the services like hot showers, electricity even bungalows can be found.
Koprucay is a well-being site of the canyon for rafting in ice-cold spring water in the scorching heat of the summer. Koprucay may be one of the best routes for rafting, hosts water sports activities for eight months of the year.
