Kossuth House Museum

At the start of the nineteenth century, Hungary made an attempt to establish an independent national state under the leadership of Lajos Kossuth; however, Austria formed a military alliance with Russia, and the Hungarian liberation war was unsuccessful. Then, for a while, Lajos Kossuth resided in Kutahya, Turkey, in a home built in the eighteenth century. Here, he drafted the Hungarian constitution. In 1982, the house where he lived and wrote the constitution was converted into a museum and opened to the public.
