Koyunoglu City Museum and Library

The museum first opened its doors in the 1980s, with a 3000 m2 showroom. Anatolian Civilizations, Ethnography, Carpet, and Coin are the areas of the museum. In the garden, donor Izzet Koyunoglu's house, which has been saved, and a particularly well-preserved sample of traditional Konya houses, is also part of the museum.

The items in the Anatolian Civilizations section date from the pre-Islamic and Islamic periods in Anatolia. Precious elements of Turkish-Islamic culture, art, and civilization, as well as goods and daily life garments, and tools, can be explored in the ethnography area. Fossils, silicas, petrified marine organisms, and other items can be found in the "Nature History" section. The calligraphy collection, in addition, has a collection of well-known artists such as Mustafa Rakim, Sami Efendi, Rodoslu Ibrahim Efendi, and others.

Museum's library has a rich collection too, it houses 35,000 manuscripts, many of which are rare copies or one-of-a-kind instances of calligraphy, miniature, illumination, decoration, and binding crafts.
