Kursunlu Mosque

Kursunlu Mosque, also called Haci Ahmet Pasha Mosque, is an Ottoman artifact in Kayseri province. Mimar Sinan, a well-known Ottoman architect, designed it. Kursunlu means "leaded," and the mosque takes this name from its covered, lead-covered central dome. Mimar Sinan built 12 other buildings in Kayseri, but only the Kursunlu Mosque could survive to the present day. The mosque has a double portico like his other mosques, Mihrimah, Atik Valide, and Rustem Pasha Mosques in Istanbul.
