Lake Uluabat

Lake Uluabat, known as Apolloniatis in the ancient Greek period, is located in the Bursa Province of Turkey. It contains eight islands; the largest is Halibut. The region has also been known for its silkworm cultivation for centuries. Today, it is recognized as a "living lake" by The Global Nature Fund in 1998.
