Malatya Museum

Malatya Museum is the home of works dating back to the Neolithic, Chalcolithic, and Bronze Ages. Since the region was once under the rule of Hittite, Assyrian, Urartian, Roman, Byzantine, and Seljuk civilizations, many pottery, jewelry, weapons, mosaics, and other artifacts from these civilizations are exhibited in the museum. Just before the Karakaya Dam flood, archaeologists excavated the Cafer, Deirmentepe, mamolu, Kosgerbaba, and Pirot mounds, and the artifacts were preserved and displayed in the Malatya Museum.
