Meher Gate
Meher Gate is a limestone rock gate that can be visited in Van Province, west of Tusba's capital, Rusahinili. It was built in the 9th century BC by Urartu as a religious center. It is a monumental gate, and the word Meher means "illuminating." According to the legend, God Haldi will emerge from this gate in lights; hence, the gate is called by this name. According to another belief, a shepherd said talismanic words, the gate opened, and he went to sleep in the cave. However, he forgot the words and could not exit.
