Mersin Ataturk House Museum

The Mersin Ataturk House Museum, also known as Krizman Mansion, takes place in the city center. It is a two-story, smooth-cut stone building that was built in 1897. When Ataturk and his wife, Latife Hanim, visited Mersin in 1925, they stayed there. Later, the building was expropriated and opened as an Ataturk Museum with the artifacts that were brought from the capital, Ankara. At the entrance, the Kuva-yi Milliye (Ottoman Turkish National Forces) section can be seen too.
