Mersin Museum

Mersin Museum was opened in 2017 in the Yenisehir district. It has 1435 pieces in its collection that date back nearly 9000 years. The artifacts from Yumuktepe Mound, an ancient health and culture center in Soloi-Pompeiopolis, and ancient olive oil production details from Elausse Sebaste can be seen. The Nagidos tablet, which dates back to the 3rd century BC and addresses property issues of the Nagidos and Arsinoe people, is one of the unique artifacts in the museum. The ethnography section is the home of the artifacts of Sarikeceliler, who are the last nomads of Mersin and have a unique, worth-seeing culture. Furthermore, it is possible to see a Neolithic sunrise in the Neolithic House, and children can spend time in the Arkeopark section of the museum.
