Mount Latmos

Mount Latmos is located in the tourist provinces of Aydin and Mugla, to the east of Lake Bafa. Its peak is Tekerlekdag, with an altitude of 1375. Latmos was the residence of Zeus in Greek mythology and the residence of the rain god in the Neolithic era. The mountain housed the Latmos ancinet city, which was founded in 300 BC. The mountain is covered with stone pine and maquis. Recently, cave paintings dating back to the prehistoric period were found.
