Mountain Musa

Mountain Musa is 20 kilometers from the Hatay city center. The mountain is famous for an incident that took place during World War I. According to historical sources, seven Armenian villages in the Samandag district rebelled when they learned that World War I allies would land in Hatay. However, the Allies of World War I did not, and rebels then ran from the country with a French ship. The resources also conclude that there were no losses during the case, and when the Ottoman inspector reached the mountain, they had already gone to the Port Said refugee camp. The Armenien village of Vakiflar chose not to rebel, and they are still living in the same village.
