Mudanya

Mudanya is a district in Bursa province. It is located around the Gemlik Gulf and the southern coast of the Marmara Sea. It has been known that, Mudanya was founded in the 7th century by the Kolofonlus. The city, which was occupied from time to time, was destroyed by Macedonian Ruler Philip the Fifth (Philippos), and a new city was built in its place, called Apameia. Since 1321, it has been a Turkish town. The Mutareke House Museum, the old Greek town of Tirilye, and the beaches at Coskun Oz, Burgaz Altinkum, and Kumyaka are its attractions.
