Murefte

Murefte is a seaside town in the Sarkoy district of Tekirday city. From Istanbul and other close cities, travelers visit the town in the summer and on weekends. It is also known that French and Italian ships visited the city for the wine trade between 1650 and 1900. Unfortunately, an earthquake-caused fire in 1912 destroyed the town, but it was rebuilt. One of the district's most well-known products is black wine made from Malbec grapes.
