Myra Archaeological Site

Myra was the capital, and it was one of the six important cities of the Lycian Confederation with three voting rights. The site maintained its reputation throughout the Middle Ages thanks to St. Nicholas, who lived and died in Myra. The city takes its name from the river, which caused the collapse of the city with the alluvium it brought over time. St. Nicholas Museum, the theater, rock tombs, and the tombs in the river necropolis can be visited in the region.
