Nicosia

Nicosia was the daughter of Acheloos and Melpomene and a siren, according to Greek mythology. It can be translated as "White State," "the city," or "White Gods." Since 1974, it has been divided into two parts according to the United Nations Buffer Zone in Cyprus. Nicosia is, according to this fact, divided into two.
