Plugge's Plateau

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission is a cemetery where Commonwealth War Graves Commission soldiers are buried who died during WWI. It is the smallest Anzac Cemetery on the peninsula, located at the top of a 100 m hill where all of Anzac Cove can be seen. The Plateau takes its name from the 37-year-old commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Arthur Plugge, who established his headquarters there.
