Priene, Miletus, Didyma
Priene, Miletus, and Didyma are ancient Greek cities that are located side by side. Priene is situated on the outskirts of Mykale (Samsun) Mount and was founded by the son of Belus Aegyptus in the 6th century BC. Miletus is situated near the Maeander River and was the home of notable people such as philosopher Thales, epic poet Arctinus of Miletus, and writer Cadmus. Also, it has been known that Miletus city was founded by over 90 colonies throughout its history. Didyma, on the other hand, is known for the Apollon temple and, like Delphi, is a significant Hellenistic period divination center. It is the ancient world's third most important sacred site. These three-ancient sites are frequently mentioned together and can be visited on tours departing from Selcuk-Izmir.
