Salahaddin Eyyubi Mosque
The Salahaddin Eyyubi Mosque, also called St. Johannes Prodromos Addai Church, is situated in Sanliurfa Province in Turkey. The mosque was a quite big church when it was built in 457, thus called a cathedral for centuries. The church was built by Bishop Nona, and it is very close to the Balikligol-Pool of Abraham. The church was converted into a mosque during Salahaddin Eyyubi's period, and in the 19th century, the current mosque was built on the ruins of the church. It was repaired by the Turkish government in 2010–2011.
