Selime Cathedral
Selime Cathedral is situated at the southern end of Ihlara Valley in the Aksaray province, between the villages of Selime and Yaprakhisar. It has enormous dimensions and is divided into three sections: a classical Cappadocian-style kitchen where people cooked in mushroom-shaped ovens, two massive halls connected by a tunnel, and one of Cappadocia's largest and most articulated churches. Selime, a basilica-style church, has three aisles divided by two arcades. Selime Cathedral is now a museum, and it is surrounded by other tourist attractions such as five massive rock-cut courtyard mansions and the Virgin Mary Church.
