Sile Castle is a castle positioned on Ocakli Island in the Sile district. It was built 1,000 years ago by the Genoese and later used by the Ottomans. It was conquered by the Ottoman army under the command of Yildirim Bayezid in 1396 and has been repaired at least twice throughout history.
