It is an Ottoman artifact that is known for its Talik style tiles, which is a kind of Islamic calligraphy in that the letters appear to be hung on paper. There is no information about who did and when built the mosque however it has been known that it has been repaired in the years 1850 and 1940. The Ottoman resources stated that there was a Mevlevi lodge was located here and the lodge then transformed into a mosque by Tekeli Mehmet Pasha.

It was restored between 2018 and 2021. The mosque is called "daisy" at the same time because its dome looks like it. Ottoman explorer Evliya Celebi mentioned it in his travelogue called the Seyâhatnâme as a very ornate mosque, the tiles found during the restoration prove this claim.
