Tersane (Dockyard) Island
Tersane Island, literally Shipyard Island, is an inhabited island in the Mediterranean, situated in the Gulf of Fethiye and separated from Domuz Island by a narrow channel in Turkey. Its ancient name was Telandria and/or Telandros, and still, the ruins of the Lycian era can be visited. The island’s current name comes from the shipyard and watchtower on the island. It was abandoned during the population exchange agreement between Greece and Turkey in the 1900s and is currently an uninhabited region. It is one of the popular destinations for blue cruise tours and daily boat tours in the region.
