The ancient city of Bloundis

Bloundis is an ancient Greek city that was founded during the Hellenistic period in Anatolia. Today it is located in Sulumenli village, which is 40 km south of Usak Province. It also has been known that Macedonians were founded the city, was a significent military citr during the Kingdom of Pergamon reign and it used to have strategic importance during througout Roman and Byzantine eras. The city was built on a peninsula surrounded by a deep and steep valley on three sides, on a flat headland. Today, an Ionian-style temple, a theater, and the necropolis can be visited in the ruins.
