The Battle of Chunuk Bair
The Battle of Chunuk Bair occurred between the Ottoman defenders and British soldiers in August 1915 on the Gallipoli Peninsula. It is the second peak of the Sari Bair range, and because of its location, it could give an advantage to British soldiers. The battles took almost 4 days, and on August 10, one of the most bloody battles in the region occurred. The Anzac assault on Chunuk Bair and Besim Hill, which began on August 6, was completely reversed by the Ottoman offensive on August 10. Most probably, this battle changed the result of the Gallipoli Campaign.
