The Domitian Gate

Domitian Gate, also known as Frontinus Gate, is situated in Hierapolis, an ancient city in Pamukkale, Denizli Province. It is placed at the north entrance of the city and was built by the Asian Proconsul Julius Sextus Frontinus in 83 AD. The inscription on it stated that the gate was dedicated to the emperor Domitianus, thus it was called the Domitian Gate.
