The Earthquake Museum
museumOn the North Anatolian Fault, a seismically active fault in northern Anatolia, is Sakarya Province. There were two significant earthquakes that significantly damaged the city in 1967 and 1999. Dozens of people lost their lives, and a large portion of the city collapsed. The Earthquake Museum was founded to keep earthquake awareness fresh. It was opened in 2004 and is equipped with visual documents and earthquake simulators. It is a good place to witness how an earthquake can harm a city.
