The Great Cathedral (Fethiye Mosque)

The Great Cathedral, also called Aleksandr Nevski Church or the Cossacks' (Kazak) Church, takes place in the Yeni Mahalle district of Kars Province. It was constructed in the nineteenth century, when Russians took over the city and established the Kars Oblast. It is one of the oldest buildings in the region. In 1984, it was turned into a mosque and given the name Fethiye Mosque.
