The Great Mosque

The Great Mosque was built in Cankiri by Suleiman the Magnificent's order to architect Sadik Kalfa. It was built between 1522 and 1558, but there is no information about why it took such a long time. The interior of the mosque is decorated in rococo style, calligraphy works. It has a rectangular layout. It was located in the city center and was restored by the government between 1992 and 2015.
