The Kabatepe Museum

The Kabatepe Museum was formerly a flat hill 35 meters above the Kucuk Ariburnu beach, which is now called Anzac Cove. During the Gallipoli Campaign, 112 Anzac soldiers under the command of Captain R.L. Leane attempted to land from this little cove but were attacked by Ottoman forces under the command of the 77th Infantry Regiment, Major Saip. One of the most difficult battles between the Ottomans and Anzacs occurred here throughout the campaign. Today it is a museum and has a rich collection, which includes weapons, uniforms, photographs, letters, and more.
