Theodosius Cistern

Theodosius Cistern is situated on Piyer Loti Street in Istanbul's Fatih district, which is a well-known and well-liked tourist destination. It was built in the fifth century during Theodosius II's rule as Roman Emperor. It was constructed to supplement the city's existing water supply, which came from the Valens Aqueduct. In 2018, it underwent restoration and became a museum.
