Tomb of Vehb Bin Hushayra Hz.

According to the legend, Vehb Ibn Huseyra and his friend Sufyan b. Uyeyne joined the Istanbul invasion in 668-669, which was led by Ebu Eyyûb el-Ensarî (Eyup Sultan). Their tomb today in Karakoy district is the Underground Mosque, known as Kursunlu Mahzen, where both of them were martyred. Grand Vizier Mustafa Bahir Pasha rebuilt the ruins here between 1752 and 1756, made it a place for prayer in a short time, and repaired Vehb Ibn Huseyra’s tomb. Although there is no certain information about them, the tombs can be visited in Karakoy.
