Trabzon Museum

After undergoing extensive restoration, the Trabzon Museum reopened for visitors in 2001. It was housed in the Kostaki Mansion, which was built in the 1900s by local banker Kostaki Theophylaktos. The mansion was sold after Theophylaktos went bankrupt. It has been known that the mansion was designed by Italian architects, and the interior decoration is totally engraved. Visitors can see the unique interior decoration while exploring the archeological and ethnographic sections on the floors.
