Turkish Bath Museum

The Turkish Bath Museum is situated in Beypazarı, a district of Ankara. This museum was the first of its kind in the field of Turkish baths, and it was founded by Sema Demir, a scholar who teaches courses on Turkish culture and museology at Gazi University. The museum's main goal is to preserve Turkish bath culture for future generations by documenting and showcasing it. It was opened on 9 June 2012 in the Rüstem Pasha Bath, a 16th-century building constructed during the reign of Suleiman the Magnificent. The museum offers visitors a hands-on and immersive experience of the custom in addition to its collection of objects through the narrators and guides who work there. Clogs, copper bowls, ewers, loincloths, bath cushions, towels, washcloths, and other bath culture-related items are on display for visitors to see. They will also learn about the "mother of the bath," "father of the bath," and "chief of the bath" concepts.
