Uruguay

It has a mild climate all year round with very little variation. The strong European influences are to be seen in its culture while on a Uruguay vacation.

The capital Montevideo accounts for more than half the population of Uruguay. It is the southernmost capital in South America and the only large city. The most interesting area is the old town “Cuidad Vieja” where one can roam the old streets and also enjoy the many restaurants and small shops there. Another area which is in total contrast is the attractive coastline just south of the centre of Montevideo with its long promenade which is shared by cyclists, walkers, runners and families spending time at the beach. It is also known for its beautiful sunsets to be seen on an Uruguay vacation.
