Western Front Headquarters Museum

The Western Front Headquarters Museum is located in an Ottoman-style house that was built in 1905 in Konya Province. At the same time, the house is the place where the Great Offensive of 1922 was planned. The Great Offensive was the last great war in which the Turkish army defeated the Greek army within four days and ended the Turkish Independence War. The house was restored and opened as the "Atatürk and Ethnography Museum" in 1966, and reorganized and opened as the "Western Front Headquarters Museum" in 1981. The artifacts that were left over from the war years, as well as Ataturk’s and other commanders', can be seen in the museum.
