Yakutiye Madrasa

Yakutiye Madrasa is situated in Erzurum Province, like Cifte Minareli Madrasa, it is one of the symbols of the city. The life tree motif near the portal, and the lion and double-headed eagle motifs inside the niches—all are very important in Islamic iconography. The Tree of Life, consisting of date palm leaves, two leopards, and eagle figures coming out of an openwork globe, brings together the important symbols of Central Asian Turks. Today, it is the Turkish-Islamic Artifacts and Ethnography Museum, and have dozens of visitors.
