Zagnos Pasha Mosque
Zagnos Pasha Mosque was built as a complex in 1461 by Mehmed the Conqueror’s vizier Zagnos Pasha. Today only the mosque and the bath can be seen. It was built in only six weeks, with the help of 48 men who were commissioned by the Sultan. It was damaged by an earthquake in 1897 but rebuilt. Today, it takes place in the city center, which is also the largest mosque in the city. It is the only mosque where Mustafa Kelam reads a khutbah (a kind of religious speech).
