Greece Vergina Tours

Beneath a great earth mound at Vergina lie the royal tombs of ancient Macedon, among them that of Philip II, father of Alexander the Great. The museum keeps the burial chambers just as they were found, glittering with gold caskets, armour and wreaths. It is a short trip from Thessaloniki.
