Morning pick up from Nairobi City or the Airport  for the drive to the Mount Kenya National Park.  We should be at the Sirimon Park Gate.
Commence the trek, which takes you 3 to 4 hours and cover some 9 kms. This route is drier, scenic and good for beginners.

 As you trek today you are also taking an acclimatization hike via tropical rain forest. Overnight at the Old Moses Camp. (3,200 m). Full board

With your packed lunches hike past steep slopes towards the Shipton’s Camp. You will pass through Likii and Mackinder’s Valley. You will view giant groundsels along this route and breathtaking scenery.  The hike this day takes between 6 to 8 hours and it is 17 km. Check in at Shipton’s Camp

From here you can easily view the 3 highest peaks of Batian, Nelion & Lenana. Temperatures here can reach minus 10 degrees Celcius. Overnight at the Shipton’s Camp ( 4,200 metres). Full board

At 2 Am; wake up and take tea and some biscuits. Start the attempt on Point Lenana (4985 m); which is the highlight of our trip. Take African sunrise photos. Descend slowly to the Shiptons  Camp for breakfast. Continue the descent back to the Old Moses Camp where you link up with your transport for Nairobi and are dropped off at the Airport or Nairobi Hotel. Breakfast
