Morning pick up from Nairobi City or the Airport  for the drive to the Mount Kenya National Park.  We should be at the Sirimon Park Gate by 11 am.  Commence the trek, which takes you 3 to 4 hours and cover some 9 kilometres. This route is drier, scenic and good for beginners. As you trek today you are also taking an acclimatization hike via tropical rain forest. Overnight at the Old Moses Camp. (3,200 m). Full board

With your packed lunches hike past steep slopes towards the Shipton’s Camp. You will pass through Likii and Mackinder’s Valley. You will view giant groundsels along this route and breathtaking scenery.  The hike this day takes between 6 to 8 hours and it is 17 km. Check in at Shipton’s Camp. From here you can easily view the 3 highest peaks of Batian, Nelion & Lenana. Temperatures here can reach minus 10 degrees celcius. Overnight at the Shipton’s Camp ( 4,200 metres). Full board

Breakfast. This is the acclimatization day and you hike to Hausburg col. ( 4600 metres) and trek back to Shiptons Camp for lunch.

Then you traverse the Peaks and onto the Mackinder's Camp, (4,200 metres) for overnight. Full board 

Wake up at 2 a.m. and have some tea and biscuits and depart for Point Lenana (4985 metres); the 3rd highest peak on Mount Kenya by sunrise.

Enjoy the breathtaking views and take some photos. After the view from the summit as far as Mount Kilimanjaro on the South,

 descend to the Mintos Camp on the Eastern side of the Mountain for Breakfast.

Later, descend on the scenic trail on Chogoria Route viewing fascinating Gorges  to Meru Mount Kenya Bandas Tent( 2950 metres)

for hot shower, dinner and overnight at the Tent. Full board

your transfer vehicle to Nairobi via Chogoria Town to arrive in the evening and are transferred

 either to your Nairobi Hotel or to the Airport. Breakfast and lunch
