Highlights
Itinerary
After arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll begin your journey to Kibale Forest National Park—East Africa’s primate capital. Enjoy scenic views of the Ugandan countryside, bustling local markets, and a variety of bird species along the way.
Start your day with an exciting chimpanzee trek in the dense Kibale Forest. With the help of expert trackers, you'll follow the calls and movement of these intelligent primates. You may also spot red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, birds, and butterflies. In the afternoon (time permitting), enjoy a visit to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary—rich in biodiversity and local community culture.
Today you will journey south to the famous Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Enjoy the beautiful landscape of southwestern Uganda, with views of terraced hills and local homesteads. Lunch will be served en route or at your lodge, depending on your arrival time.
After an early breakfast, set off for your once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience. The trek through dense jungle is an adventure in itself. Once you locate the gorilla family, you will spend one magical hour observing them in their natural habitat. Depending on your interest and energy levels, you may opt for a Batwa cultural experience in the afternoon, or a relaxing guided walk in the forest.
After breakfast, begin the journey back to Entebbe. Enjoy lunch en route, either in the city or at the Uganda Equator crossing, depending on timing. This day is reserved for evening flights from Entebbe International Airport. If your flight departs the next day, we can arrange post-tour accommodation upon request.
