Pergamon or Pergamum, also referred to by its modern Greek form Pergamos, was a rich and powerful ancient Greek city. During the Hellenistic period, it became the capital of the Kingdom of Pergamon under the Attalid dynasty. The city is centered around a 335-metre-high (1,099 ft) mesa of andesite which formed its acropolis. While going to acropolis we will enjoy cable car. Ephesus Ancient city is one of the most excavated city in Anatolia. There are unique structures which are Odeion Celcus Library, The Great Theatre, Latrina and lots of great architectures. Pergamon was an ancient city located in the Anatolia region, approximately 25 kilometres from the Aegean Sea in present-day Bergama, Izmir Province of Turkey. The city had great strategic value, since it overlooked the Caicus River Valley (modern name Bakırçay) which provided access from Pergamon to the Aegean coast. Pergamon reached the height of its influence during the Hellenistic period, becoming the capital of the Attalid kings. During the Roman period the city was the first capital of the Asian province, but it eventually lost this status to local rival, Ephesus. Pergamon is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.Built on a conical hill rising 335 m above the surrounding valley. We will see Pergamon acropol.he famed library, the terrace of the spectacularly steepest theater of turkey, the main palace, the Altar of Zeus, and the propylom of the Temple of Athena. In the early Christian era, Pergamum's church was a major center of Christianity and was one of the Seven Churches of Revelation. Visit to Ephesus, Ephesus is an exceptional testimony to the cultural traditions of the Hellenistic, Roman Imperial and early Christian periods. Ephesus is an important site for Christianity; being one of the seven Churches of Revelation. Apostle Paul probably spent two and half years in Ephesus during his third missionary journey. In two hours, you will be exploring the city by walking on the marble streets, accompanied by our English speaking tour guide. In our tour, we will be seeing the odeon,state agora,the prytaneion,the memmius monument,the domatian temple,Hercules gate,curetes street,the Hadrian temple and the latriens. we will carry on with our exploration with the Celsus library,marble road,commercial agora,great theather, and arcadiane (harbour road).After Ephesus tour we head to lunch. we will visit a place which continues to perform one of the oldest arts of Turkey; a carpet weaving centre. After that we will visit the Artemis Temple one of the seven wonders of the world. The guide will give small information about the Temple and then departure to Turkish Sirince Village. Sirince is an old village of ‘the Byzantine Greeks situated on the hills of Selcuk and 7 km from Ephesus. As part of the peace pact after the Turkish national war (1919-1922), a formal exchange of Turkish and Greeks, was agreed upon and Sirince is inhabited by Turkish now. The village is popular for beautiful traditional houses and fruit flavoured wine production; and you will have a free time for some wine tasting. After the tour drop back to your hotel.
