Nepal Discovery Tour - Culture, Wildlife, Villages and Himalayas

Your sightseeing tours begin after breakfast. Your guide will come at your hotel and meet you at hotel lobby at 0930 am. You will proceed with sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath temple located on the bank of Bagmati River. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and often known as “abode of Shiva”. Only Hindus are permitted to enter inside the temple complex for worship however other can go other side of temple to see the rituals of Hindu people and morning activities. You will also witness rare ceremony of funerals as per Hindu traditions at cremation ghats on the bank of holy river Bagmati.

After visit at Pashupatinath temple, you will proceed to Boudhnath stupa located 3 Kilometers away from the temple. Boudhnath stupa is also known as “Mini Tibet” and one of the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal. This stupa is surrounded by Tibetan settlements and monasteries. You will witness Buddhist rituals and traditions at Boudhnath area which is en-circle by Buddhist prayer flags and mane.

In the afternoon you will drive to Swoyambhunath stupa located on the hill top overlooking Kathmandu valley. This Buddhist stupa is famous as “Monkey temple: and one of the best place to observe cultural harmony between Hindus and Buddhist in Nepal. Both Hindu and Buddhist pay homage to this site. The view of stupa includes entire Kathmandu valley floor with outstanding views of Central Himalayan ranges.

Continue to Kathmandu Square another UNESCO site located in Kathmandu. Kathmandu Durbar Square offer excellent opportunity to see local Newari people, ancient Royal complexes and architecture of medieval era. Stroll narrow lanes of Kathmandu visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square, Kumari Bahal, Hanuman Dhoka area. Also visit the old market of Ason & Indra Chowk.

Morning, drive to Chitwan. Chitwan is one of the finest national park in Asia and famous for viewing wildlife such as One Horn Rhino, Tiger, Deer and other wild flora and fauna on its natural habitat. Upon arrival you will be welcomed by naturalist from your lodge.

You will enjoy Lunch at dinning complex and followed by the activities briefing. Today you will enjoy Jungle walk inside forest escorted by local naturalist from lodge. You will continue with the visit to Tharu villages located on the edge of the park area. Tharu people are indigenous people from plain region of Nepal and have their own lifestyle and culture. In the evening you will enjoy Tharu Stick Dance.

Morning enjoy Canoe ride at Rapti river to see water birds and Crocodile. After Canoe ride, you will enjoy Elephant briefing and breeding center. In the afternoon, you will enjoy Jeep Safari to see wildlife of Nepal. Today highlight will be spotting one horn Rhino in dense forest. If you are lucky then you can also see Tiger. After safari you will be back at hotel.

Morning, drive to Pokhara. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Pokhara is famous for wonderful views of Himalayas and its snow fed lakes. The reflection of Mt. Fishtail & Annapurna range on Lake Phewa is breathtaking. Pokhara is also base camp for the trekking on Annapurna region with other day hike tours around valley rim. Free day on own to stroll around Phewa Lakeside area.

Early morning, excursion to Sarangkot to see sunrise over Mt. Annapurna, Dhaulagiri massif & Mt. Fishtail. Return to hotel for breakfast.

Commence on a Pokhara city tour which includes Bindavashini temple, Seti Gorge, Devis fall & Gupteshwor Mahadev cave.

In the afternoon, proceed to Lakeside area. Cross Phewa Lake by boat. Reach another side of the lake and start your walk to Peace Stupa. Peace stupa is also known as White Pagoda located on the hill top of the Pokhara valley rim. The views from this stupa includes combine view of Pokhara valley floor with Phewa lake and beautiful view of Himalayan ranges such as Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Fishtail dominating skyline. This 3.5 hour total hike both walk walking provide best experience walking in Himalayan at Annapurna foothills. Walk down, cross lake and walk to your hotel.

Breakfast & Overnight at Hotel in Pokhara 

Your guide will come at your hotel and pick-up for your transfer to Nayapool. You will drive through small and winding mountain roads offering excellent view of Pokhara valley floor with panoramic view of mountains. Start your trek from Nayapool through forests crossing the suspension bridge near to Tikhedhunga. Start your uphill climb through 1000 stone steps to reach to Ulleri village.

After breakfast at local lodge, start climb to Ghorepani village. Ghorepani is typical mountain village dotted with Gurung community on the foothills of the Annapurna Mountain. You will see panoramic view of Annapurna South and Nilgiri mountains from the village.

You will enjoy excursion to Poonhill view point to catch magnificent view of sunrise view. After sun strikes the mountains the colour of mountains changes from white to orange. View includes 180 Degree view of Himalayan panorama stretching from Dhaulagiri massif till Fishtail mountain including Annapurna ranges between. Spend sometime at the top and return back to lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, start your trek to Tadapani village. Descend through forest area with waterfalls and small settlements en-route.

Descend through the trekking trail passing through Rhododendron forest. When the Rhododendron flower blossoms then entire forest turns to red. Arrive at Ghandrung in the afternoon. Enjoy excursion to Old Ghandrung village with visit to local museum. Ghandrung is Gurung village situated on the slop of the hill ridge overlooking Annapurna south and Hiunchuli mountain.

Morning you will trek down to Nayapool. Board the vehicle to drive to Pokhara. You will get transferred to your hotel.

You will spend a night at this city so evening you can stroll on your own pace to see evening ambiance with music and people with traditions.
