Badaling Great Wall

As one of the best-preserved and most representative sections of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall, Badaling Great Wall is located in Yanqing District, Beijing, and is famous for its "grandeur and steepness". It is a crucial pass of the Great Wall and once served as a key military defense stronghold in ancient times. Most of the existing city walls were renovated during the Ming Dynasty, with the highest point reaching an altitude of approximately 1,015 meters.

Old Summer Palace (Yuanmingyuan)

The Old Summer Palace was once the leading one among the "Three Hills and Five Gardens" of the Qing Dynasty and was known as the "Garden of Gardens". Located in Haidian District, Beijing, it consists of three gardens: Yuanmingyuan, Changchun Garden and Qichun Garden. It was a royal garden integrating Eastern and Western landscape gardening arts. In 1860, it was burned down by the Anglo-French Allied Forces. Now it is open to the public as a "ruins park", and the remaining architectural relics carry profound historical memories.

Summer Palace

The Summer Palace is the largest and best-preserved royal garden existing in China. Located in Haidian District, Beijing, its predecessor was the "Qingyi Garden" of the Qing Dynasty. In 1888, Empress Dowager Cixi embezzled funds from the navy to rebuild it and renamed it the "Summer Palace". In 1998, it was inscribed on the World Heritage List and is renowned for its landscape layout featuring "mountains surrounding waters and a distant, serene artistic conception".

  3. 9:00: Visit [Badaling Great Wall], one of the Eight Wonders of the World. Visiting time is approximately 180 minutes. (Transportation aids: Badaling Cable Car or Toboggan, round-trip fare 140 RMB per person, optional.)
  4. 11:30: Dining Arrangement. Travelers with self-prepared food can have meals on their own; those without prepared food need to pay the meal fee to the guide on-site.
  5. 12:30: Take the bus to the Summer Palace.
  6. 13:30: Visit the Summer Palace, a royal garden as beautiful as a fairyland. (Kind Reminder: The Summer Palace Waterway Tour costs 140 RMB per person, optional.)
  7. 15:30: Take the bus to the Old Summer Palace (Yuanmingyuan).
  8. 16:00: Visit the Old Summer Palace (Yuanmingyuan). (Kind Reminder: There is an electric cart service in the Old Summer Palace, costing 80 RMB per person. Travelers who wish to take it shall cover the fee voluntarily.)
